The story behind the pictures:

When I first joined World of Warcraft, my friend Rae (the Death Knight) and I were talking on Vent one morning when the servers went down for maintenance. We were bored and searching youtube for WoW videos (incidentally the same day we stumbled upon Nyhm's videos) and trying to pass the time until Archimonde came back up. We were tossing ideas back and forth and one of us (I don't remember which- after all, this was November of last year) suggested making a comic. We laughed and joked about it and then sat on the idea for a long time.

Well, I was bored one day and playing with my new toys [programs] and made a World of Warcraft background for my IMVU home page. Well, Rae visited and saw it and asked for one as well. It was then that we remembered our comic idea. We brainstormed for quite some time and, in the process, came up with a few ideas. Originally the group consisted of Raelyne, Acowmaru and myself (Myafeine). We didn't have a full group though and knew that wouldn't work when we added in the various raids and dungeons into the comic though so we worked in Kairos (the holy priest -not depicted and no that's not his toon's name-), Nero (the lock) and Bugga (the fail rogue)- all of which are based on real people (though Nero isn't based on a player, he's based on a friend of mine and Bugga isn't the real toon's name either).

Bugga came about when a noobish player joined and followed one of Rae's alts and my main around. He irritated us to no end and it got to the point where we wanted to strangle him. Unfortunately, due to the fact that we're all horde players (including him X_X), we couldn't kill him like we so wanted to do so we found a humorous way to do so- in a comic. Unfortunately, when trying to decide what class he should be, we were unable to think of a noob class befitting him. All the classes we thought of actually required some skill, thus he became the fail rogue- a class that requires quite a bit of skill... that he doesn't have.

Nero also came to be, based off of a very good friend of mine. We figured since we were working friends into the comic and slowly building the cast that we should work him in as well. It didn't take us long to decide that the warlock class definitely suited him (further confirmed when I showed him a picture of a felhound and he said "I want" lol). His name, of course, was the hardest part but upon doing some research we settled on Nero (Latin name meaning powerful).

Kairos was also a bit of a challenge. He's based off of Rae's priest friend. We weren't sure whether or not he'd want his real toon's name in the comic however so we gave him a new name.

Raelyne's story is a little more in depth due to the fact that in these pictures she's depicted as a Death Knight and in quite a bit of the comic she's a blood elf hunter. For more on that you can go to [link] which is, for the most part, Raelyne's story of how she became a Death Knight.
